Dr. Pamela Ann Weber, M.D.

A graduate of McGill University, Montreal, Pamela Ann Weber, M.D. went on to Columbia University College of Physicians &Surgeons. Dr. Weber completed her Post-Doctoral training as a Resident in Ophthalmology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, NY. She completed her Fellowship in Vitreoretinal Disease & Surgery at Schepens Eye Institute, Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary, and Harvard University in Boston. Dr. Weber is a member of the National Register’s Who’s Who, a Castle Conelly Top Doctor and a Newsday Top Doctor. Dr. Pamela Weber is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is also a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and the American Association of Retinal Specialists.
Dr. Weber has additionally been involved in international studies for diabetes, AIDS and macular degeneration. She has traveled the country giving lectures for Genentech. She has also lectured internationally for Pfizer.

Dr. Weber has a special interest in retinopathy of prematurity and has participated in National Eye Institute funded multicenter studies including ETROP (Early Treatment of Retinopathy) and STOP-ROP (Supplemental Therapeutic Oxygen for Prethreshold Retinopathy of Prematurity). She served on the Executive Committee and the Outcomes Committee for STOP-ROP.

A graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Brittis is board certified in Ophthalmology. She did her fellowship training at Pacific University in San Francisco and the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. She is an assistant professor at Cornell University in New York. She has a private retinal practice in Yonkers. Dr. Brittis is a member of the prestigious Retina Society. She is affiliated with numerous hospitals including Columbia, Cornell, St. John’s (in Yonkers) and St. Joseph’s(in Yonkers).
One of our chief retinal imaging specialist, Mr. Soque is a Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA), Certified OCT technician (OCT-C)and a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA). He assists in retinal surgery. Mr. Soque serves on the Board of Education for the Ophthalmic Photographers’ Society and is involved in lecturing on the Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT). He performs Fluorescein and ICG angiography, B-scans, Optomaps and OCTs. He was the study center coordinator for two clinical macular degeneration trials, and one diabetic macular edema trial. He is certified as a digital imaging specialist for the Fundus Photography Reading Center Wisconsin (FPRC-WI), and the Digital Angiography Reading Center of New York (DARC), and the Duke Reading Center. He is a lecturer for Genentech .
Chery Behrendt is our office supervisor, surgical coordinator and billing representative. She is also an Ophthalmic Assistant and was the Study Center Coordinator for ETROP.
Lorie Swain is our front desk supervisor, certified medical assistant and certified ophthalmic assistant. She is also the study center coordinator for a phase 3 CEDAR study.
Anne Marie Smykowski is our technician and photographer. She is a certified ophthalmic assistant with over 20 years experience. She is/was a certified Visual Acuity Tester for the following diabetic studies: Ampio, Allegro, RISE and RIDE; macular degeneration studies: L-Path, ECLIPSE, and phase 4 trial: the Harbor Study, CEDAR, Hawk, Paladin, Allegro DME 1 and 2 and PVD studies. She was the study center coordinator for a macular degeneration study sponsored by LPath.
Dinah Morgan is our billing specialist.
Melissa Foster is our technician, photographer and study center coordinator for a Phase 3 study using Fovista (antipdgf-b) administered in combination with Lucentis® compared to Lucentis® monotherapy in subjects with subfoveal neovascular age-related macular degeneration (OPH1002). She is also our study center coordinator for: Paladin, Del Mar Allegro DME 1 and 2, PVD study, and HAWK,
Kristin Perron is our front desk coordinator and laser surgery assistant.
